"Drive One 4 UR Community" supports Communitas and Matthew's HouseThanks to Magnuson Ford and Ford Canada, friends of Communitas and Matthew's House will be able to test drive a brand new Ford and generate a donation for Communitas! When: May 16th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Come early and be sure to invite all of your friends to come out and support Communitas and Matthew's House. A valid driver's license is required. After the test drive, you will fill out a short marketing survey to rate your experience. If time allows, you are permitted to drive as many of the models as you like, but only your initial test drive will be credited with a donation from Ford Canada. Matthew's House receives $1MOn behalf of the Province of British Columbia, Minister of Health, the Hon. Michael de Jong has made a gift of $1,025,000 to support the construction and operation of Matthew’s House. At a reception held at the Phoenix Lounge, Minister de Jong commented: “Matthew’s House will help create a home-away-from-home feeling for children and their families, providing them with the services they require to enjoy time together in a healthy and balanced environment.” LEARN MORE Read Steve's welcome message HERE Curl for Care 2012This past Saturday and Sunday, a mini curling bonspiel was held to raise funds for the Campus of Care partners, Matthew's House, Canuck Place and Abbotsford Hospice Society. Mennonite Girls Cook for Matthew's HouseThe ladies from the Mennonite Girls Can Cook were at Lepp Farm Market last week to teach their class a variety of dishes. Proceeds from this class will go to Matthew's House. You can find out more on Lepp Farm Market's Classes & Events page. Communitas thanks Lepp Farm Market (and the Mennonite Girls Can Cook team) for their continued support of Matthew's House! Fraser Valley Pulse and Revival Arts Team Up to Raise Money for Matthew's HouseThe Fraser Valley Pulse and Revival Arts Studio worked together again last year to raise funds for Matthew's House. During their 12 Days of Christmas in the Fraser Valley event, the Fraser Valley Pulse featured an opportunity for people to win a portrait session with Revival Arts Studio and a small, framed print by donating to Matthew's House through CanadaHelps. Congratulations to the winner! This is the second time that Revival Arts has participated with the Fraser Valley Pulse to raise funds for Matthew's House. Thank you Fraser Valley Pulse and Revival Arts for making this possible, and thanks to all of those who donated through this event!
